How TMS Works

What is TMS?

Transcranial magnetic stimulation uses focused magnetic pulses to restore activity in the brain circuit that regulates mood. You are awake throughout, nothing pierces the skin, and there is no anaesthesia and no recovery time, so most people drive themselves home.

Left DLPFC: where treatment happens

The left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex helps regulate mood and is consistently underactive in depression. Standard TMS delivers high-frequency pulses here, restoring activity in the circuit it anchors. Millimetres matter, which is why your target is mapped, not estimated.
